Each year the Habitat ReStore diverts tons of usable solid goods from the landfill.  We encourage
businesses, churches, and community members to think before throwing useable items away.  Our donors have been instrumental in helping us achieve our goals!

In the 2008-2009 year alone, the ReStore rescued an estimated 800,000 lbs of solid materials.  That’s
400 TONS in one year!

In eight years:  1,730 tons diverted!!!

The Habitat ReStore in partnership with Beasley Disposal, Inc. support home building with proceeds from aluminum can recycling.  Every can supports local families!

Through donations and purchases, the Lynchburg community becomes fundraisers for Greater Lynchburg Habitat for Humanity.
Donations and purchases are the beginning of a cycle that culminates with an opportunity for home ownership.

Proceeds from the sale of a donated light fixture become a box of nails, 50 gallons of paint become the new window on the front of a neighbor’s home, and that newly installed composite deck purchased from the Habitat ReStore can provide roofing materials for a deserving family.
